Lifestyle Villas

A lifestyle villas complex designed by Laterale includes 11,840 square feet of villas and a boutique hotel in northern Johannesburg, South Africa. Four cantilevered levels deliver luxurious suites and a private gym for guests. In the interior, however, the key attraction is the entertainment area featuring an elevated rim-flow pool fitted with a backlit onyx feature wall and illuminated bar.

To take the entertainment area décor to the next level, designers added a unique detail to the bar front and cabinet doors. The material of choice was Cascade Architectural’s 3/16” steel Fabricoil®, which encloses the cabinets and serves as the decorative face of the bar. With an Antique Bronze powder coating, the metal mesh captures light from spotlights circling the bar and provides a unique texture and aesthetic to the cabinets on the wall.
