Extraordinary Desserts

Extraordinary Desserts builds showstopping cakes and desserts for special events and weddings. The brand also operates two Extraordinary Desserts restaurants in San Diego. These two locations feature sweet and savory delicacies in-house as well as national delivery of cookies, chocolate bars, custom teas, and more.

When it was time to design the Fourth Avenue location, architects created a perfect setting for the food and drink experience of Extraordinary Desserts.

The eatery’s outdoor patio space was equipped with a Fabricoil® solar shading device to effectively reduce glare and control the amount of light that enters the interior restaurant space.

The Fabricoil system was installed outside along the front of the restaurant. The metal mesh panels are looped around a transparent tube and then connected at both ends to Cascade’s Hook with Aluminum Angle attachment system. This creates a layered effect while allowing the metal mesh curtains to hang beautifully across the windows.
