Jazz at Lincoln Center

Lincoln Center, the world’s leading presenter of artistic programming, arts education, and manager of Lincoln Center campus, boasts ten resident organizations. One of those organizations, Jazz at Lincoln Center, plays a key role in inspiring and uplifting the jazz community through an inviting performing and gathering space.

When architects envisioned the new space for Jazz at Lincoln Center, they wanted to create a place that celebrated the organization’s mission of entertaining and enriching the jazz community of New York City.

On the ceiling of the Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Atrium, designers specified undulating ¼” stainless steel Fabricoil® curtains. The metal mesh was specified to take attention away from the hardware and lighting fixtures suspended from the ceiling, as well as to add a unique architectural component to the otherwise bare ceiling.

The atrium serves as a luxurious gathering area that also contains three performance and event spaces. On a Hook with Steel Angle attachment, the Satin Bronze powder-coated curtains hang beautifully on wavy tracks, adding a breathtaking feature to the inviting space.
