Studio So Lara

Studio So Lara, a hair salon operating in three locations in Ontario (Kitchener, Guelph, and Waterloo), is dedicated to providing warm and individualized services to each customer in a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.

Each of the three Studio So Lara interiors needed to reflect the enthusiasm and talent of the staff, which is why designers selected a variety of high-end, bright materials to complete the spaces. For partitions separating the lobby from individual stations and again from the back-half of the salon, designers selected 3/8” aluminum Fabricoil® curtains in a Brightened finish. To allow for operation when desired, the innovative coiled metal wire mesh material was connected to Cascade’s moveable Aluminum Secura track attachment.

To maintain its welcoming atmosphere, Studio So Lara needed a unique product that would provide a boost in aesthetics while also maintaining the openness of the room. To achieve this, designers at Fiore + Greco and the salon owners selected Fabricoil. The material’s semi-transparency was ideal for creating three distinct spaces that still allowed light, views, and sound to pass from one area to the next.

Fabricoil is ideal for work environments that may be exposed to dust, moisture, or in this case, hair. The coiled metal wire mesh curtains will not rust or stain, which was important given the frequent use of spray bottles and the metal mesh’s proximity to hair washing stations. The salon team also appreciates that the material tends to shed dust and debris. This makes the aluminum mesh curtains one less component to clean at the close of business. The solution helps to uphold the modern, clean, and bright image that Studio So Lara has worked so diligently to cultivate.
