Tempe Transportation Center

The Tempe Transportation Center is a modern transit plaza serving light rail and local bus patrons in Tempe, AZ. Like many structures in the southwest, sun control plays a key role in building design. As a result, architects are looking for materials that blend aesthetics with that very function.

Steel Fabricoil® panels were selected to clad the building’s exterior, which houses retail stores, offices and community rooms. Coiled wire fabric provides shade for interior spaces and reduces the rise of internal temperatures, ultimately saving money and energy through HVAC load reduction.
