Stansted Airport Lounge

In the Stansted Airport, travelers can take a break from the hustle and bustle and grab a meal or some quiet time in the terminal lounge.

When EOS Airlines renovated the lounge, designers wanted to make a comfortable, luxury space that included floor-to-ceiling windows to allow in plenty of natural light. The lounge also needed to provide various seating areas for guests to relax.

To provide solar shading on sunny days and a degree of privacy, architects selected Cascade’s 3/16” Fabricoil® metal mesh curtains as unique window coverings. The mesh, completed with a powder-coated Brite Pearl Grey finish, offers a distinctive accent as well as functional benefits for the wall of windows in the lounge.

Attached to Cascade’s Aluminum Secura Track, the curtains can be easily opened to let in more natural light and views of the airport exterior. When pulled closed, the versatile metal mesh provides privacy and solar shading. This reduces heat gain and minimizes glare, creating a more relaxing and inviting environment for visitors.
