Nike has long been on the cutting edge of performance and design.

For the multinational corporation’s flagship New York City location on 5th Avenue, a space that combines shopping with a fully interactive Nike experience, architects at CallisonRTKL and designers at Tangram chose Fabricoil® for its functional and design benefits.

The project team specified 1,764 square feet of 1/2" stainless steel Fabricoil to function as drapery surrounding the atrium on the building’s fifth floor. Fabricoil is connected to Cascade’s Aluminum Secura Track with Valance, which is a sliding, operable system.

Serving as the backdrop for a life-size print of Lebron James at the time of installation, coiled wire fabric matches the progressive and stylish environment that Nike is known for and proved to be crucial in achieving the designers’ vision.

Perfect for everyday use and special events, the material serves as a canvas for light and projections cast onto its surface, catching the eyes of patrons to deliver a sportswear shopping experience unlike any other.
