Meydenbauer Center

The Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, Washington, is a convention center that includes a 410-seat theater, a large exhibition hall, and a 12,000-square-foot meeting room. The center is committed to providing event and performing arts space that generates community and employee pride, ultimately creating economic stimulation for the city.

The primary space, a 36,000-square-foot multi-use exhibition hall, is a popular venue for trade shows and ballroom events. To transform the character of the room, architects selected Fabricoil® from Cascade Architectural for a unique ceiling plane.

Suspended from the ceiling, the Satin Copper metal mesh panels make a statement for visitors. The lighting system illuminates the panels to soften and distribute light, delivering a comfortable environment for attendees. In combination with a wall of aluminum panels opposite the entry doors, the Satin Copper mesh visually connects the walls with other interior design choices made for the space.

Fabricoil panels were the optimal solution for the ceiling in this high-design space. The metal mesh is strong, durable, and designed to last while simultaneously serving as a key component to this creative, dazzling interior.
