With a story that starts in the English Midlands in the early 1900s and continues with a soldier’s footwear invention in post-war Munich, Dr. Martens has a deep and winding history. Their boots then caught on in the music scene with well-known artists like Pete Townshend of The Who. In this era, they began to embody “working class pride” and a “rebellious attitude.”
Fast-forward to the 21st century and Dr. Martens has cultivated strong internationally favor and has flagship stores, a number of retail locations, and a presence at fashion industry tradeshows.
For one of those shows in Las Vegas, Dr. Martens chose to integrate Cascade’s Fabricoil® material into their exhibit, ultimately defining the company’s look at the show. The free-hanging metal fabric doubles as a space divider and a backdrop for the company’s logo.
Utilizing Cascade’s Spectrack attachment system, the exhibit features two stainless steel 3/16” Fabricoil panels back-to-back with a bold Dr. Martens logo displayed in front. It was an easy material choice for designers and the Dr. Martens team: high-end design and strong, durable performance attributes. Just like their world-renowned boots.
